Since 2006, a sodium-chlorate plant in North Vancouver has been the source of a hydrogen-rich by-product stream, providing 1000kg/hr of hydrogen at 99.999% purity.

This station can produce enough hydrogen to power 200,000 fuel cell cars per year.
