NORAM Engineers and Constructors
Since 1988, we have built a global reputation for innovation and excellence in the supply of proprietary engineering and equipment packages to the chemical, pulp and paper, minerals processing and electrochemical sectors. Our six specialized business groups have completed capital projects on five continents. We are recognized worldwide as a leader in the fields of nitration, sulfuric acid and electrochemistry.
In addition to carrying out large assignments for major multi-national clients and municipalities, NORAM works with early-stage technology companies. We provide engineering design and fabrication support, sharing our experience in technology commercialization, and growing with the company as a strategic stakeholder.
Angstrom Power
AngstromPower Inc. is a Vancouver-based company founded in 2001 to develop and commercialize micro-structured fuel cells based on a novel fuel cell architecture. This can be used to power portables devices like cell phones. It’s made possible thanks to the unique fuel cell architecture, combined with innovative concepts for hydrogen fuel and integrated into passive Micro Hydrogen systems. This enables high energy density in small form factors. AngstromPower has successfully built prototype devices and is currently in the process of developing products for industrial and consumer markets. The family of products includes end-user devices as well as products for refuelling. The refuelling can either be portable, using cartridges, or fixed, using existing hydrogen infrastructures. To-date Angstrom has 14 patents issued and over 50 applications pending, representing a deep intellectual property base.

Westport Innovations
Westport Innovations Inc. is a leading global supplier of proprietary solutions that allow engines to operate on clean-burning fuels such as compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied propane gas (LPG), hydrogen, and biofuels. Cummins Westport Inc., Westport's joint venture with Cummins Inc., manufactures and sells the world's broadest range of low-emissions alternative fuel engines for commercial transportation applications such as trucks and buses. BTIC Westport Inc., Westport's joint venture with Beijing Tianhai Industry Co. Ltd., manufactures and sells LNG fuel tanks for vehicles. Westport's joint venture with OMVL SpA, Juniper Engines Inc., offers light-duty LPG engine solutions for industrial applications such as forklifts.
Powertech Labs
Powertech Labs is a global authority on high-pressure hydrogen and CNG storage, supported by the world’s most comprehensive high-pressure test facilities. We are a leader in the design, construction and operation of compressed hydrogen fuelling stations and are credited with the world’s first 700 bar hydrogen fast fill fuelling station. Our Energy Systems business unit has been involved in the evaluation, development, certification testing and re-testing of compressed gas fuel systems for vehicles since 1983.
Powertech Labs specializes in the design and construction of Hydrogen Infrastructure. Our state-of-the-art facilities include a Hydrogen-Safe Vehicle Service Center, Cylinder Test Center and several Component Test Laboratories. Powertech Labs is also a leader hydrogen safety testing.
Plug Power
Plug Power Inc. is an established leader in the emerging hydrogen fuel cell industry. Plug Power is experienced at developing, manufacturing, integrating and servicing proprietary fuel cell solutions, providing clean, reliable energy for customers worldwide. First to market with commercially viable fuel cell products, Plug Power has installed over 1,000 fuel cell systems for material handling, prime and backup power applications throughout the world - more than anyone else in the industry. Plug Power’s GenDrive hydrogen fuel cell solution for the material handling market offers a drop-in replacement as an alternative to lead-acid batteries for enhanced productivity of electric lift trucks. GenDrive provides high through put, multi-shift customers with more commercial space and lower operational costs. Refuelling is safe and can be performed by the lift truck operator in less than 2 minutes.
Plug Power is headquartered in Latham, New York with a main operational branch in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. Research, engineering, sales and customer support activities for Plug Power’s GenDrive product line are carried out in Richmond.
AFCC
Established in 2008, the Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation is a Burnaby, BC-based joint-venture private company between Daimler AG (50.1 per cent), Ford Motor Company (30 per cent) and Ballard Power Systems (19.9 per cent ownership and a financial investor), developing next generation technology for zero-emission automobiles. Following a successful 10-year Alliance, Ballard sold its automotive fuel cell assets to Daimler and Ford in 2008. These assets are now resident in AFCC , which is now for the research, product development, and a successful product launch of reliable and high-performance fuel cell stacks.
Linde Gas
Linde Gas is a forerunner in environmentally-friendly hydrogen technology and is committed to the ongoing development of efficient hydrogen fuelling solutions. The only company covering the entire hydrogen value chain, Linde has expertise from initial construction of hydrogen production facilities through to operations, distribution and fuelling systems. Today, Linde supports over 40 hydrogen filling stations all over the world - in fact, almost all existing liquid hydrogen filling stations from Toronto to Tokyo function with Linde technology.
The Linde Group is a world-leading gases and engineering company with around 50,000 employees working in more than 70 countries worldwide. Following the acquisition of The BOC Group plc, the company has sales of around 12 billion euro per annum.
